Hi can windows-based programs be installed on Linux? or do i have to get linux version...I was looking for anti-virus program for my newly installed Linux but i wanted to protect it from slimeballs cuz it's connected to the internet all the time....Thanks!!

What programs do you want to install? General programs designed in VB/FP/PB are not compatible with Linux OS. But programs designed for independent platform i.e Java/Kylix/ASP etc. are fully compatible with Windows/Linux.
