Hello,
I'm having a problem with Proftpd (proftpd-1.2.6-1) that I just can't seem to solve.
I have an iptables firewall before the ftp server. I have another machine with wu-ftpd-2.6.1-16.7x.1 running on it. If I have my firewall forward ftp to that machine everything works fine. If I change the firewall to the forward ftp to the profptd machines IP I can only transfer about a meg and a half to two meg. or so before I get this error in my client:
No socket Port failed connection reset; the server has reset the connection for some unknown reason. It appears that the connection is dead. Attempting reconnect... Connect failure Reconnect failed. The connection is dead. Sorry. This connection is dead. Attempting to reconnect.... Connect failure Reconnect failed. The connection is dead. Sorry. Transfer request completed with status: Finished
If I try to ftp from a dos prompt I get:
> Netout :Connection reset by peer Connection closed by remote host.
