Hi,
I have an problem, i can't access my Win 2003 Server im running an domain, and can't access the 2k3 maschine. What can i do, please help i'm Linux newbie :( so please help me setep by step :)

is 2003 running ntfs linux don't have standard support for ntfs you would need a kernal modual i think

You'll need Samba to connect to a windows environment from a linux machine. It comes with a SuSe professional distribution, but you have to check if it's installed already.
For configuration of Samba, there are very good books written about is. But offcourse there's also documention online. These are two links for some information:
www.tldp.org, search for the SMB-howto
http://www.suse.de/us/private/support/online_help/howto/samba/LinNeighborhood is a graphical frontend for Samba:
http://www.bnro.de/~schmidjo/index.html
Good luck, it's not very very difficult, but if you're totally new with linux don't expect it to work within 5 minutes.

I just checked and SuSe 9.0 comes with Samba version 2.2.8, it might be possible you'll need Samba version 3.0 for connecting to windows 2003.
Unfortunately I don't believe Samba 3 is already available in an easy to install package for SuSe. But you can get the source code from www.samba.org
Please don't blame us for troubles windows software creates for you!
