Comment:

Hi, I am trying to install TransMac 6.0 in
wine, and I knowthat this is not just an
incompatibility with TransMac and wine,
because all windows programs give the same
error:
[andrew@x1-6-00-40-2b-4b-64-e7 andrew]$
wine tmsetup.exe
wine: error while loading shared libraries:
libwine.so.1: cannot open shared object
file: No such file or directory
[andrew@x1-6-00-40-2b-4b-64-e7 andrew]$

Please help me, but also please tell me how
to fix it step by step, because I am still
sorta new to linux.

Seems like the libraries are not installed... How did you install wine?

With an rpm. It worked on fedora with rpm.
I downloaded the rpm for mandrake.

Mandrake has seperate "wine" and "libwine" packages, you should now install the libwine package now. Did you pass the "--nodeps" switch while installing the rpm? Didn't it give any dependency errors?
