OS: Redhat 2.1
CPU/Ram: 1gb
Product: Dell Precision 360

Hi there, im just new in linux. I would like to start my linux in GUI, but it says problem on display. My vga card is nVidia Quadro NVS 280 but it's not on the list of Redhat drivers. Also my monitor is dell 1704FPT which also not in the list of drivers. How can i fix it? Please HELP..! thanks

What errors do you get when trying to run
"startx"? Looking
through /var/log/X[Free86/org].0.log may
give further information. Try running
xf86config/xorgconfig or xf86cfg/xorgcfg to
reconfigure your X server. Have you tried
the nvidia drivers from their website? You
could also try using a generic vesa
driver....but your best option is to get the
nvidia drivers working as the performance is
greatly improved.
