Hi folks, Debian Etch Xen box I haven't burned CD/DVD for sometimes, at least >1 year. Just ran following commands on terminal burning a data DVD-RW; growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/dvd -R -J /path/to/compressed_tarballs growisofs -dvd-compat -speed=4 -Z /dev/dvd -R -J -pad /path/to/compressed_tarballs growisofs -Z /dev/dvd -R -J /path/to/compressed_tarballs etc. No error found on burning. After burning no data can be detected. # fdisk -l could not find the DVD According to my recollection I ran above commands burning DVD-RW/+RW. They worked for me. Please help. This is a server box only limited X packages installed on the host. TIA B.R. satimis
