I am currently installing linux Red Hat 6.1, i am installing it on a 10GB hard-disk on a NCR machine with RAM 64kB

I am installing the GUI part, after choosing the server installtion and choosing the option of total install that is removing data.
The system create the file system and starts the installation but after the installation, the system highlight completing the postinstalltion process and it keeps hanging forever without rebooting.

I powered it down myself and restarted, the system boots but on the /dev/hda8 it files and boots into single user.
Asking to run filesystem check.
After runing the fsck or e2fsck and rebooting there is no change. it boots to single user

Somebody please help.

I guess you checked the "check for bad sector" option when you create the partition. Don't check this option and try again.
