Okay.... have a problem... I've been attempting to install RedHat... my problem when I get to the install, i choose language, keyboard type... try going to next option, and i get an error more or less saying that it can't find the RedHat install disc.... thought it might of meant the second, but can't open the cd tray to change disc.... so... think it might be the disc? (there's a bit of damage to the top of the disc, but didn't think it was that bad since it was booting the install screen...)

Yep, it sounds like it's the disc, did you get to the part when it asks to check the cd media? If so you should check all the discs.

i have a distro of mandrake that won't install because of a tiny, tiny scratch. see google for checking srpm's

I tried reburning the cd... (twice actually) no luck, one wouldn't boot, the other still didn't seem to like the idea of being a redhat instal disc.... so... in lack of a better idea.... anyone got a good FAQ/tutorial on doing a network install of RedHat? :-{
