I am running RedHat on my server at home which just serves files for the house and a b unch of cd roms so we can all share the cds without having to make copies and worry about losing them. Ok my problem here is that we have a bunch of printers. Right now I have to share them through the computer that they are connected to. That means that I need to leave eeach workstation on or get a print server. I would like to use the samba server as the printer server to save money/space. But the system can not run x windows. Does anyone know how I would go about installing a printer without x windows? I can print to it fine by typing something like cat test.txt > /dev/lpt1 but how would I make it a printer that can be shared among my network? Any answers would help. Thanks
