i have a canon s200sp printer and i am looking for a driver for red hat linux 8.0

Install Gimp-print-4.2.6. It has the driver you need.

Sorry, the link is wrong. Try downloading from here:
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/1/

I don't know what other dependencies this package might have.
