I was wondering whether anyone could recommend a simple user interface freeware point of sale software that runs on linux mint (i'm probably asking for the impossible but I might just try my luck)
Has anyone got experience with such a system?
Many Thanks in advance for a reply!

A good place to start.

Might help if we know more about the size of company, how you use the POS. If you have any terminals already and such.

Thanks for the reply!
I am a complete newbie to linux (admittedly haven't even installed it yet, but have experiences suse and mint and was ver impressed!) I have not thought of the practical application of linux in POS systems but my questions could more definitively be phrased as follows:
How can I make a PC a terminal for waiters or cashiers to use a quick sale record system (and print receipts) which can be linked to another PC which stores the info (either via internet or via a LAN system)
Which linux system would you personally recommend if one looks primarily at it's business use potential?
Thanks again!
