please please help a desperate man!

i have RH 7.1 on a toshiba laptop everything is fine, well not everything, i had to buy a xircom modem, because mine didn't work (it's a winmodem, s---...) BUT MY PROBLEM IS: since th every first moment that i installed RH, there are 4 squares, little squares on the wallpeper, that are sort of a reflection of the whole screen... once i change the wallpaper, they're gone, but then i restart, and they're there on the the new wallpaper, they're very very annoying! please help me!!

and yes! i already tried changing looots of configuration on Xconfigurator...

Find the name of the wallpaper file, locate it with a "find files" utility and delete it.
