Please help with this modem

Please help me, I am about to pull my hair out, I cant make a modem work I have tried four.......................................I can't figure this out, the basic operating system has all the software that I need, and I would be happy if someone could just talk me through this modem thing.......

The modems that I have should work, they are older, and are isa I have them installed but don't have a CLUE HOW TO MAKE LINUX FIND THEM ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG..................


I don't need a fast conection on this computer, just a conection........

I gather the modem is an internal modem.

I don't know how many times I've actually seen someone have this problem. But internal modems are windows modems, and don't work out of the box with linux.

You need to install a patch in linux before it will work.

Do some reading at the below sites. Need anymore help post a reply in here.
