I want to configure linux (redhat 7.0, gnome interface) in such a way that when a user logs in with his network username and password he logs on to the network like in WINNT and not locally.
Now I have to add the users who want to use linux manually. The linux box is online(can browse the network, but is not seen by others) and using the smbclient I can mount network drives, but again I have to feed in my username and password manually.
I am a trainee and have been asked to convert a couple of win machines to linux redhat 7.0 so I have a deadline. I am happy to show the employees the wonderfull (yet sometimes nerv wrecking) world of linux but if I can't make the deadline and show the management it's (cost)effectiveness it won't happen at all. So please help, or at least tell me if I'm on the wright track. Thanks.
