OS: MEPIS,Ubuntu,and Puppy
CPU/Ram: P166/32MB
Product: IBM Personal Computer 350
Comment:

I have 3 different Live CD Linux Distrobutions. All 3 work on all my computers except 1. My IBM PC 350 Has a BIOS setting to boot to CD and I have it set to boot to the CD drive before the Hard Drive and I got no luck. I got a Floppy from Puppylinux.com and it didn't detect that the CD in the drive was Puppy. I can see the contents of the disk. Is there a way to boot to a CD from DOS or anything I can try?
The distrobutions were: MEPIS,Ubuntu,and Puppy
The computer will not boot to any CD.

You probably need to update the BIOS in order to make that PC boot from the CD. Please see http://www.bios-drivers.com/drivers/51/51809.htm for more information.

A Smart Boot manager boot floppy will allow you to boot from CD, or to install Smart Boot Manager to your hard disk.
I keep a floppy image (Win98SE with sbminst.exe and cwsdpmi.exe) so I can write a floppy, then boot form that floppy, then install Smart Boot Manager to the newly created floppy or to the hard disk.
