password-less logins

I have a Suse 9.1 box at home that my wife and I use as a workstation. I like the password-less login feature provided by KDE, however, it doesn't work with Suse 9.1. In Yast, I found a setting for password-less logins under the "Security and Users" section, but that doesn't work either.
