Hello
I have tried a few times to install PCLOS(Linux) on a second HDD. As I could not get the booting working properly I tried a few times and different ways. At some stage it got fairly bad and now it is at the stage that I don't have any partition table.
I tried with testdisk without success.
What else could I do?
I do not need to wory about any data on this particular HDD.
I checked the HDD(Seagate) with the appropriate seatools program and it looks like the HDD is ok.
Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks
L

Hi Topfarmer
Thanks
The only thing it could find was the swap partition, nothing else. And since I have also deleted it.
So, what could /can I do with this drive?

(I do not need to wory about any data on this particular HDD) just make new partitions. I do not use PCLOS but install process should ask what partition to make. You must have at least 2 partitions , /root and swap. If you want can also have a /home.

Just be sure you select the correct hdd.
Is the PCLOS only an install cd or is it a live linux cd ?

Are you planning on DUEL booting ? What OS's ?

Hi TopFarmer
I have managed to get it all up and going with tesdisk.
Installed PCLOS on this second HDD added to GAG (which is on the master)and it is working perfectly now. Also added another XP and it is just a breeze going from one to the other(trays).
A next time round I will have a look at ranish.
Compliments to the GAG guys!

GAG is a good boot manager and fits in the first track of hdd, most third party boot managers need to put files onto a partition.
