Partition Resize Problem

Comment:

I'm having trouble resizing my fat32 (primary) partition so that I can create a new partition to install Mandrake.

I've tried using both DiskDrake and fips and in both cases it only lets me reduce the partition size from 29Gb to about 27.5Gb.

Thinking that I maybe had a file at the end of my drive I ran Scandisk again, checked for mirror/image files (there are none), defragmented, and disabled my window swapfile.

Having done all that I still have the same problem.

I'm running Windows Me and trying to install Mandrake v8.1

Any help would be appreciated.
-Ben

P.S. If more info would be useful, let me know.

Sorry to reply to my own message but I want to clear up the obvious. My hard drive isn't full. The current usage is 17.2GB.
