Comment:

I just installed RedHat 7.2 and receive a message during boot that my monitor is out of frequency. From there the monitor shuts off. When I reboot the cycle continues and am back to square one.The monitor is a Gateway EV700. My current settings are HF 72.8 KHZ and VF 90.0 HZ. Can anybody provide any insight,

when booting redhat it should say press 'I' to go into interactive mode. press 'I' or 'i'. then when asked about loading xfs, say 'n'.
X will fail. then at a normal terminal run setup and configure X with Xconfigurator, test your settings.....(but you should have done when you actually installed redhat???).

hope this helps.
