Ive got the mandrake 7.1 distro installed on my machine, and ive recently got an optus cable connection motorola SB3100 modem connected to a USB ethernet adapter i was wondering if anyone has any experience connecting through this type of modem and if they could help me set it up.
I don't have any experience with this modem. But one thing I do know is that the kernel which comes with Mandrake 7.1 isn't very friendly to USB devices. I would suggest you upgrade to the newer 2.4 kernel. Unless you want to just install several drivers for USB support.
