Hello Forum,

I need a industry standard Open Source (if there is such a thing) Email Server software solution. Will be running software on Red Hat ver.9

Any suggestions? thank you

you should not run redhat 9, its really old, and your OS will not be secure. redhat forked into 2 branches: fedora for devalopment/community interaction and redhat enterprise linux (RHEL) for corperate. CentOS is a recompiled, free version of RHEL.

if you want ease of use along with stability look into debian. apt-get and apt-cache can install and find pakages like this with the blink of an eye. Debconf can automatically configure them for you too.

with all that said once you get a newer distro install sendmail or postfix.
