Hello Forum,
I need a industry standard Open Source (if there is such a thing) Email Server software solution. Will be running software on Red Hat ver.9

Reply:
you should not run redhat 9, its really old, and your OS will not be secure. redhat forked into 2 branches: fedora for devalopment/community interaction and redhat enterprise linux (RHEL) for corperate. CentOS is a recompiled, free version of RHEL.
if you want ease of use along with stability look into debian. apt-get and apt-cache can install and find pakages like this with the blink of an eye. Debconf can automatically configure them for you too.
with all that said once you get a newer distro install sendmail or postfix.
