old Linux computer

I recently got 2 computers for free they have readhat linux on them but they are protected by a password that neither i nor the pesonwho gave them to me know... is there a way to remove the password or/and format the hard drive?

Yeah download the .iso for the linux distribution (ie. www.linuxiso.org or www.distrowatch.org or my favorite www.ubuntu.com). Burn it to a cd. Set to boot from CD in Bios. and follow instructions for installation...

I cant boot from cd (the bios doesnt have that option i only have disabled, floppy, network and HD)
