I believe the latest version is 7.0 from Sun!!! All you need is order it from them for a media and shipping cost... And what do you mean that OpenOffice won't run??? I bet you that there are more people out there using OpenOffice on their Linux system than StarOffice. But if want to discribe your problem here, then maybe somebody can help you.

I see the low CPU and RAM, but you probably want at least OpenOffice 1.0 or StarOffice 6.0. Newer versions take both less hard drive space and less RAM for more features. I've tested this. I'm not sure about how fast the newer versions start compared to the old ones, but I'd bet they start faster. More RAM would help greatly.
Another case where newer software runs better than older versions on old hardware is Mozilla. The latest version of Mozilla Firebird will probably run better than an old version of Mozilla.

Actually, Mozilla Firebird is a strip down version of Mozilla!!! It doesn't come with all those bells and whistles (like mail/newsgroup or IRC Chat). That's why it loads and runs faster than the regular version of Mozilla... So, if you don't care about all those extra features, go with Firebird!

If you really want Star Office 5.2, you can go to the SuSE FTp site and download it for free. Go to: ftp://ftp.suse.com and look for SuSE 8.0
Star Office 5.2 was one of the office suites that came standard with the 8.0 Pro. They are still available on the SuSE site.
