Comment:

How can I have num lock always enabled at startup under Redhat 8.0? It always starts up disabled. Under windows, it's always enabled at startup. I can't seem to find any config tool to do this.

Change it in your computer's BIOS. There should be a setting opting whether your numlock is on or off at bootup.

Windows is just probably just turning numlock on automatically and linux is leaving it to whatever the BIOS wants to do.
