No. Well, sorta... Read only support for NTFS in the kernel is experimental, so don't expect it soon. Linux CAN read Fat16/32, both of which 2000 can use.

I use ntfs support via a loadable module. You can configure your kernel for rw, but it is NOT recommended. I mount ro, exclusively.
