NT Behind a Linux Firewall?

Hello,

Can anyone recommend any good FAQs or tell me where I can find information on setting up Windows NT Servers behind a linux firewall?

I currently have running Debian GNU/Linux v 2.0.34 with two network cards installed. One is connected to the net and the other is connected to my internal network. This was set up by an outside consultant and seems to be working really well for what we have now. We are using squid and it does the job.

What I am interested in setting up in the near future is access from the internet to two of our NT servers, one running Exchange and one running a client/server database through an M$ IIS program.

Will I be able to set this up using my current Linux firewall, or will I have to set up another firewall for the NT Servers?

Security is extremely important with this database program.

If you guys could just point me in the general direction, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Joel

There is no problem, linux can handle packets destinated to a specific port and foward it to the proper LAN IP.

However, it could be interesting to use your linux server as mail server instead of MSexchange.

Also, if this database will be used by 1 or few remote office, you could consider establishing a VPN that will terminate on the LAN side of your firewall.
