I like Linux, don't get me wrong, but as
far as school goes, I really need windows
as my default OS. I have Linux and Windows
sharing a harddrive but Linux is the first
OS to get initialized since it displays
it's 'OS' boot menu first. NT is the last
option in the menu and Linux gives me a
whoping 3 seconds to pick which OS I want
to boot with. My question: Is there some
way to set the NT option as the default so
that I have 3 seconds to boot with Linux
instead of NT.

If you're using LILO as your loader and KDE, there's a Boot Manager applet in Preferences/System.

Or in your /etc/lilo.conf, change

default=Windows

Or remove the time thing and replace that
with "prompt." Then, lilo will just sit
there and wait for you to pick which OS you
want to boot up!

E-mail me if you still not sure what!

If you are using Grub in Redhat 7.3,edit grub.conf and cut the section on windows and paste it before the Linux section. It should work
