hi guys,
Now that I have LinNeighborhood and Samba downloaded .... what do i do now ... i mean how to install them and use them ...
Thanks
Ahmad

Edit your smb.conf file (usually /etc/smb.conf or /etc/samba/smb.conf) to reflect your network. It is normally quite well commented/easy to understand.
To start the samba service so that windoze machines can see your shares,
#etc/init.d/smbd startYou should also be able to mount windoze shares by:
#smbmount //windoze_pc/share_name /mnt/mountpoint
You may need to add -o username=windoze_username to the end of the command.Re LinNeighbourhood, once your smb.conf file is working, just start the program and edit the configuration as you did with samba. Gnomba is also quite good and probably better to use if you're a Gnomer as opposed to a KDEer.
#man smb.conf
for more info. smbd, nmbd, smbclient are also comands you may wish to read up on.
