I am running a smoothwall server for my home network. I have a US Robotics 2977 modem in it. The modem requires software to set the serial port. I have a driver from USR in an rpm format. The problem is that smoothwall does not support rpm's. Is there any way to install an rpm installer or set the serial for the modem without the driver? All help is greatly appreciated.

" Alien" converts between the rpm, deb, Stampede
slp, and Slackware tgz file formats.
