This maybe a problem more suited to KDE but
since updating to KDE 3.1 from 3.0 I can't
seem to get any picture when playing AVI
video files (sound is ok).
I've tried the XMMS plugin and Mplayer but
nothing.Any help would be good (It's one of
the last problems i need fixed so that
windoze finally gets the boot from my pc)

When you installed MPlayer, did you install the win32 codecs? You should have extracted a bunch of files to /usr/lib/win32. Try running mplayer from the command line and see what errors you get.
