Lots to do, for me, actually.

I want to play mp3 files on FC4 and naturally tried to play them with all the media players that come with the CDs, which include Noatun, HelixPlayers and a host of others. None worked.

Installed RealPlayer, nope, still didnt work.

Used yumex to install xmms, and its whatever plugins and skins as well, but when tried to play mp3 files, still didnt work.

I tried to follow the installation from a website to use yum to install videolan

yum -y install videolan-client

and reinstall xmms

yum -y install xmms xmms-mp3

in both instances, the argument I received was:
Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
Reading repository metadata in from local files
Parsing package install arguments
No Match for argument: <name of app]

Can someone please explain to me what I have done wrong and how to get it to work?

try a wild card odds are its a naming convention for example your looking for
foo but the curent version of foo is foo.2.4-3
but you dont know that or the full name of foo.2.4-3

so do a foo* instead

I used ls command to verify the the typing correctness.

I also used the wildcard as well. The result is the same.

Any other suggestion?
