No hdparm?

I just installed Fedora Core 2 and I can't seem to get hdparm to work. I downloaded two other versions and tried installing them but with no luck. I see the file in /sbin but will not execute although it is set as an executible file. Any suggestions?

I figured it out just as I clicked "submit post". I probably should have waited a bit longer. I tried typing the absolute path /sbin/hdparm and it worked. I never had to do that before when I used Red Hat. How do I make it so I can type just hdparm and have it work? Not that I really need to but it would be nice to know how. Later

It is because you are not logged on as root. If you are using "su" to switch user to root and you also want to have root's path (inc. /sbin, /usr/sbin etc) then use the command "su -"
