NIS problem with non-root user

My workstation was a Mdk8.2 working fine, I
just moved it to 9.0. And now I've a
problem with NIS service :

Non-root user can log into the system but
have not rights on their own file, Example
: user "test" can log, but if he looks at
his own files in his home dir he sees the
owner as 502 and not "test". KDE doesn't
understand that user "test"'s UID is
502....

This lead to a serious problem loading KDE3
: trying to write .DCOPserverxxx file to
user's home dir fails... so I can't get any
user (except root) to launch KDE.

Help wanted !!!!
