HI,
I am using red hat linux 6.1 and I am trying to configure NFS on it. When the machine boots up i get the messages starting NFS file locking services, lockd, and statd as [ok].
I edited the file /etc/exports and then tried to run the exportfs command but i got "command not found"!! i could not find exportfs on my system.
I do not know why i do not have the exportfs command. How can i solve this problem?I have the daemons netfs, nfslock, portmap and rstatd running.
But i do not seem to hav a script file "nfs" in /etc/rc.d/init.d . So each time i run "./nfs start" i get message saying nfs does not exist.
please help me with a solution.
Thanks in advance.
Ranjit
