Login as root in Gnome or KDE. From the file manager look for the RPM package of gcc or C++. If you are in Gnome with right click in the package you can install it. In KDE with double click it will open Kpackage to install it. The software to install packages from Linux are gnoRPM or Kpackage. In the command shell you can use "rpm [package_name] -i" This is only for Red Hat or Red Hat based distributions. Debian or Slackware are diferents.
