Hi, can someone suggest a linux distribution that fits on just one floppy, has the basic networking tools (telnet, ftp, traceroute, finger etc.) and will be able to detect my network card, the NIC is a Century Concept Digital Fast Ethernet Card and uses the com20020 kernel module.
Thanks people

Try a search on Linux Router Project. I believe that is the name. They had a linux version that could run off of a floppy. It was intended for firewalls. I believe they're reasoning for putting it on a floppy was so that it could be write protected and keep a hacker from changing the system.

Don't know if it meets you're other criteria, but there is probably a good chance.

Hi there,
Try: http://www.fli4l.de
They support firewall, isdn, adsl, answering
machine, parallel port LCD, com-port online LED
and lots of nice fancy stuff. Oh, it's all on
on a single floppy, but it supports harddrives
for logging aswell. I use it as fallback routing
and I love the online LED ;-)
