I have a problem : I have 7 computers all with mandriva linux 2007.1 . I want to create a network with these computers but i have problems. - first i put an ip address 192.168.1.x /255.255.255.0. ( with x from 1 to 7). After i have configured LISA daemon in Control Center - local network Browsing. I create a folder in desktop on both computers and i have shared this folder.
But now when i go to Konqueror - Remote Places - Local network i can't see nothing. And when i type the address on the address bar ex. lan://Computer3 or lan://localhost/Computer3 an error message tell me that can't connect to host. i try with ip address lan://localhost/192.168.1.1 and i see 2 folders NFS and SAMBa but when i try to open i get the message Could not open the host 192.168.1.1
Plese help me ? What can i do to see network computers like in Windows My network places and to share files between computers?
