First I'm completly newbie with linux. I'm using SuSE Linux 7.1 in a PII 350 256M Ram everything working fine. I want to add a 3COM 3c509 network card to connect my linux computer to a Windows 2000 NT network. I don't know how to start and make all the card installation and the setup to connect the computer to the network. I need help. Thanks to all the folks here is the most greatest forum I know.

All you should have to do card wise is
install it, and edit the conf.modules file.
Or at least that is the file under Redhat
Linux.

after boot do this

pico /etc/conf.modules

add this line
alias eth0 3c509
save and reboot.
