Mmmm,
I'm having the same problem here with Mozilla 0.9.8
When I startup XMMS (without actualy playing anything), Mozilla get a lot slower. When a play a mp3 and visit a flash site (e.g. www.flash.com), the site won't load until I stop or pauze XMMS.
Looks like all of this started after reinstalling XMMS a couple of days ago.
when I log in as root everything works fine ?!?
I'll look in to it, I'll let you know when I found out what the causes the problem.
