I am trying to install my first program on Linux. It is AIM (rpm -i aim-1.5.234-1.i386.rpm).
Where do I type in the commands?

I'm trying to run it in RUN PROGRAM with no luck. I've tried to run it using: "5. To run AIM, log in as a regular user, and type "/usr/local/bin/aim" on the command line."

But where do I type the command?

Thanks a million and a half.

New to Linux!!

in a command window but you most likely already have gaim installed and it does aim, msn, yahoo, icq and others in one app

Bring up the run prompt and type xterm. This
should bring up a console window like
command or cmd in windoze. Type your
commands in there. As pete says...try just
running gaim as you might already have it
installed.
