Hi, I am having trouble installing my Creative AWE-64 ISA sound card on Mandriva 2006 free. During installation I selected the awesfx package to install, then on the screen where it list the different settings on the computer it sad not configured on the sound card, I clicked configure, selected Yes to the Do you have an ISA sound card question, then it said to run alsaconf or sndconfig. after booting, I logged into root and ran sndconfig, it did not detect the soundcard (it is a PnP card), I manually selected AWE 32/64, configured it and I heard the test sound. when I try to run the sound service I get an error window: Sound server information message: Error while initializing the sound driver device /dev/audio The sound server will continue, using the null output device Any ideas? Thanks.
