Need help installing a kernel
i can build a kernel - just dont know how to install it properly. all the sources i found out there made me screw up my lilo and other crap so i had to reinstall mandrake.

I need instructions that treats me like an idiot and are specifically for mandrake 9.1
i've never done this kernel stuff before so i need spelled out to me like i'm a 6 year old. All of what i've seen are too complex to get a newbie up and running.
thanks

Can you at least know how to read??? If you "cd" to /usr/src/linux, there is a README that spells out every step you need to do to build your new kernel!!! Because if I tell you what to do, it will look exactly like the one in that file anyway so go and read that for yourself...
