I discovered to my consternation that my new Mandrake 8.2 does not support Canon 646U scanner. The system detects this USB scanner and says it has configured it. But it does not work with xsane. I guess the needed driver is absent. Kindly inform me of any driver for this device at philip_eapen@indiatimes.com
