Need a sendmail.cf howto

Anyone know where I can find a good howto on how to edit the sendmail.cf file ....
I have no idea how to edit this file ...

You should consider using postfix or qmail as alternatives. The legendary sendmail config alone is one reason.

Thanks very much for the replys.

I have gotten a pretty good grasp on the sendmail.cf file now. I have just one question

What is the following lefthand rule asking

R<@>

PS. I am not sure if the angle brackets came up or not, if they did not, then this is what I typed

R followed immideatly by a left arrow, followed by the at symbol, followed by a right arrow.
