My problem is that Linux isn't detecting my ISA card and I can't get on my in-house LAN. The card is a NE2000 compatable ISA card and I am running Linux-Mandrake 7.2. Any tips on how to get it running?

since yours is an isa card its probably a pnp card so you need to initialise it before you can use. Try pnpdump > isapnp.conf this should dump into the file data from pnp cards manually edit this file with interrupts base addr etc. to suit your needs then run isapnp isapnp.conf. Not an easy process but it works HTH

I'm a bit late to be entering the discussion :-) But I have similar problem getting Mandrake 8.0 to detect my ISA NE2000 card.
Current IO adress 300 hex (have tried various adresses available through DOS config tool...) Using IRQ 3.
ISA card is using Atlantic chipset (?)
I think maybe the second IDE channel is overlapping with the IO address range - if so how do I resolve this? Any other ideas?
