running red hat 7.0 and am connecting to internet however when i open netscape i receive error of non-root name server, set the $socks_ns enviroment variable to point to the appropriate name server. can anyone point me in the right direction. thank you

open KPPP, as root and set up your connection there.Phonenumber dns ip everything. Make the connection with KPPP, and than open netscape. Must work dis way.
edit your "/etc/resolv.conf" file (delete anything that is in it) to read (substitute your IP's DNS details) ----------------------------------- domain iprimus.com.au nameserver 203.134.64.66 nameserver 203.134.65.66 ------------------------------------
and edit your "/etc/ppp/options" file to be empty - blank - nothing in it
