i have a 40GB HDD which have 4 partition(C:15,D:10,E:10,F:5)all running in FAT32.i install win98 in C: & win 2k in D: all working perfect.now i am looking to install Redhat Linux 7.2.can anybody help me to install linux.did i want to foramt the entire HDD?

You should be able to install RH. Just put the CD in and reboot (you may need to create a boot disk if you can't boot from CD), it'll take you through the set up process and you'll come to the partitioning screen. you'll want to select the free partition (make sure you don't select the FAT partitions), set up your 'swap' (32 mb or the amount of RAM you have, whichever is larger), your '/boot' (RH says 50 mb is sufficient for most people - and as I'm a noob myself, i couldn't recommend otherwise) and your '/' (root) partition (the equivalent of a C:/ drive in windows - so, whatever is left on your drive).
Check out the docs on the RH site (http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-7.2-Manual/install-guide/) and it'll give you the info... like i said i'm new myself, so... :D
