Hi guys, can you tell me how to install LILO? it seems that LILO cannot install on the MBR, so I have to boot linux with a
floppy.
WinMe and win 2000 were installed before Linux (redhat 7)
I really appreciate your help!

If you chose not to install Lilo when you set up Linux, then you'll probably have to reinstall Linux and install it on the Linux Native partition. If you already have installed Lilo on the Linux Native partition, then get Boot Magic (windows), it comes free with the demo version of Partition Magic 6.0, it will allow you to boot between WinME/2000 & Linux.

Thannks,
I just read through some other messages and it seems that it can only dual boot if Linux is installed in the first 1023 cylinders?
I installed it in the last partition (2Gb) of my HD (20GB). It's out of the limit already.
Please, anyone knows how to do in this case?
(If I don't want to re-partition the HDD)

when you install your lillo or grub boot loader (you have to install it for a proper fucntional dual boot os ) install it to the root (the partition you installed linux) now when you boot to windows add the linux partition to your boot loader it when you reboot and select that partition it will take you to the linux boot loader where you can choose linux and it will load fine

While most of these messages are mostly correct.

Nobody has pointed out the simplest method.

You do NOT need to reinstall anything.
Boot from floppy into Linux
With a grub boot disk it would be :

root (hd0,2) <--depending on location of partition
kernel /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda3
boot

then configure the grub file in /boot/grub
read the docs and install it on the MBR of the first hard drive regardless of weather linux is there or windows.

grub is capible of booting WIN and linux directly, no secondary boot loaders are needed.
