there are a number of instant message applications that consolidate all of the major I.M. clients. (MSN, yahoo, AIM, ICQ, ...)

I use Gaim, which is included in RH 8.0 with the gnome (default) install, for example.

KDE has one too I think, but dunno what it is called.

yes there is a linux version of msn messenger, it is called AMSN, you can get it from http://amsn.sourceforge.net
