I've downloaded Mplayer and installed correctly (I Think). I'm running RedHat 7.3 with KDE. I've also gone into the File Associations area and changed all the video extensions to open under MPlayer. I downloaded/installed the RPM package. First of all, if I go to /usr/bin/mplayer in a terminal window, it just shows me all the switches I can use...How do I actually open up Mplayer??? And why, when I try to view ANY of the listed formats, do I just get a terminal box with garbled characters? I've heard so much good stuff about MPlayer, I'd really like to see it in action! Thanks for any help.
